Updating everyone...

It has been a long time coming, this update.  I was just looking at the last entry and it was well over 2 months ago.  I’m slacking at my old age, naturally.  Much has happened since my last post and you will find all of the adventures, or most of them below.

First, Michelle’s dad has been going through chemo therapy and radiation in an effort to shrink/eradicate a couple of tumors in his lung.  As anyone can imagine, this is tough to go through for both Bruce and his entire family.  I’m happy to say that he got a great report from the doctors today in that the treatment is working and his tumor has shrunk by approximately 50%.  He now has a few more months of chemo, but all in all, a big sigh of relief at the old Goebel household.  Hang in there Brucy, you’re doing great!

In other health news, Michelle’s grandmother Goebel is currently in the hospital.  Ruthy is 88 years old and is apparently having some troubles with her blood sugar levels.  She has been weak and lacking an appetite.  The doctors are running some additional tests to determine if her problems are more than the blood sugar, so hopefully we will hear soon as to the cause of all these issues.  We’re thinking of you Ruthy!

As for the Angels, we’ve been as busy as ever.  Michelle recently finished another term at school with flying colors.  She’s now taking on double clinic duty and getting more and more confident in her needling skills as each day passes.  I’ve been traveling quite a bit recently for work.  As usual, all of my trips have been to bean town (Boston).  Work is picking up for me partly as a result of the economy and my company’s hiring freeze.  The entire family has been on a couple of trips as well.  The first was up to Minneapolis to see Uncle Jim and the rest of the Vicich clan.  Noah and Isabella had a rock and roll theme birthday party with more kids than I have seen since Disney World, circa 2005.  The second as you will or may have already read about in another post was our camping trip to South Haven, WI.  Both trips were exceptional and full of fun.

That’s it for the last couple of months in a nut shell.  Life is blowing by at a ferocious speed.  Please read the other posts for more details on what’s been happening with us.
