How sweet is the picture above. All snug as a bug in a rug. This was obviously from the first Angel family camping trip. This would have happened to be Saturday morning. The evening temperature had dropped to a cool 32 degrees. The camping trip overall was a great success. Everyone had a great time and it was full of family fun and adult shenanigans.
Maya enjoyed seeing her first tent, black squirrel, cranberry farm and many other awesome things that you only see in the not-so-deep wilderness. Michelle will tell you that the camping trip was saved by none other than the Van Buren State Park campground host. While Adam and I were out golfing Friday afternoon, Michelle and Lindsey spent their afternoon watching babies and securing all of the creature comforts one needs for a camping trip. One may think that this would have been wood, food, booze or any number of other things that may come in useful on an early fall camping trip. Instead, they spent their day hunting around for more clothes to put on, a heater for our tent and cell phone reception to contact their husbands to come home early from the links.
Successful they were in all of their pursuits and ultimately their happiness on the camping trip. The portable ceramic heater turned out to be the saving grace for Michelle and Maya as it kept our tent wonderfully toasty.
We had a great time, and lots of laughs, especially playing euchre with JT Money. After perpetrating every possible error in euchre, JT and Kevin managed to lose every single game, but its not about winning or losing, its about playing the game (especially when you’re the loser)! Thanks to all who attended and can’t wait until we can plan yet another fun filled outing with the fams.
