Okay, so first things first. I am trying something new here with the movie above. I haven’t ever put movies up online before, so this is a first. This movie was taken about a week ago and I randomly captured it testing out my camera’s video clip functionality. Have a watch and listen very closely as our precious little Maya works out a precious little nugget or two...well, actually, probably not a nugget, but you get the picture or idea. I thought it was hilarious that she decided to “grunt” one out on camera. We were watching the Cubbies and enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon. Enjoy and remember laughter is good for the waist line.
Speaking of waste line, news flash....
A Bucktown Dad Is Having Problems Losing Baby Weight!
In an unprecedented case of sister, or in this case husband, sympathy cravings, one young man is finding it difficult to shed added baby weight. When asked how this happened, the man admitted that he let things slide for the nine months of his wife’s pregnancy. “Pizza, malts, and homemade kettle corn were my downfall”, said Mr. Angel, victim to 20 pounds of added baby weight. “I really thought that it would come right off when the baby was delivered. I was completely flabbergasted when I weighed myself at the hospital and realized that my wife was the one who lost the initial 7 pounds.” Mr. Angel’s wife was unavailable for comment.
When this friendly blog suggested watching what he eats and trying to get back into the gym, Mr. Angel simply replied, “Yeah, I should do that.” Mr. Angel noted how difficult it is to get back into a routine once you have a baby. “Waking up at the crack of dawn to hit the gym is just not in the cards. I mean, you try letting your wife watch the baby during the week so you can get a good nights rest and see if you can get up in the morning. Sleeping isn’t as easy as it sounds you know, I’m tired too!”
We were relieved to learn that Mr. Angel has enlisted his wife as official lunch packer and calorie counter in his quest to get back under 200 pounds. “It’s been three and a half months since the baby. I haven’t lost a single pound! I initially considered elective plastic surgery to have milk ducts added to my breasts because I heard that breast feeding was a great way of losing some of those extra pounds. I decided against it when the doctors told me that it probably wouldn’t work with me being a man and all.” As sad as he was, Mr. Angel is now dedicated to avoiding malts and kettle corn, but said that he wasn’t sure if he could live without pizza and diet coke. He vowed to work on the miracle natural cure to losing weight, exercise and diet. We will work on a follow up story in a few months to see how Mr. Angel copes with the challenges ahead of him.
