The sinister, black, icy, circle of stroller hell...

Okay, so maybe it isn’t all that bad.  Today is day 2 of Michelle’s non-working experience.  She ate, shopped, napped and learned a new skill today, research.  Michelle and I went over our lunch to continue our insane stroller research project.  Preparing for the whole parenting thing is unbelievable.  There are so many things to think about and research that it is amazing that we, an indecisive pregnant lady and an indifferent daddy, can function in a society like ours.  When you look for strollers, you can look for things like portability, comfort of ride, convertibility from infant to toddler, cost, stroller features (cup holders, storage bags, foot muff, rain shield, etc.) colors and the list goes on and on.  The thing is that they all seem to be relatively important.

I can’t help but feel that shopping for a stroller is akin to building a character for a role playing game.  You know those things where they give you 10 points and you have to decide which of the 30 things deserve your points in an effort to make the character that you desire.  For anyone who has ever done this, you are probably very familiar with the feeling that you never seem to have enough points to get everything you want.  But, I digress.  We have looked at several brands and models and thought we were ready to make a decision until....dah dun dahhhhhh....the model we were going to buy has a newer version coming out in a month or month and a half that is slimmer, more streamlined and of course better than the one we are currently looking at.  So, now we have to weigh the pros and cons and make yet another decision as to whether or not we should wait for the new model to come out.  I’m thinking things would be so much simpler if we didn’t have so much variety.
