Da Bears and A Lazy Sunday Afternoon...

Ahh, Sunday’s the greatest day of the week during football season.  Watching the games, napping with the biggest little Bears fan in Chicago and obsessing over fantasy football makes for a perfect Sunday.  This year has been less than enthralling with the Bears sitting at 1 and 3.  One could say that regardless of whether it is Griese or Grossman, the offense is less than spectacular and thus the perfect opportunity for an afternoon nap.

Maya is so precious.  She always sleeps with her little hands in the air.  Raising the roof!!!  She’s a party girl.  We are already building football rituals at the old Angel household.  Michelle is under strict orders to dress the wee one in her Bears uni for the entire day.  The mission is to keep it puke free and as unsoiled as possible.  I, like many of my Bears fan buddies, have the idea in our head that there is no way the Bears can possibly win without out babies being in their onesie uniforms.  So, it is imperative that Maya be all kitted out for the Bears games.  I’m pleased to announce she likes football (except when it is nap time).  She watches it with me and seems to be interested.  I, of course, explain the finer points of hot routes, audibles, and zone vs. man coverage.  She looks at me like I’m nuts, but she enjoys all of the movement and colorful uniforms on the TV.  I hope that we can continue to keep football Sundays a special part of Maya and I’s relationship and we are glad to finally welcome Michelle back into the fold as well.  Michelle has not had Sundays free since she started school, but has finally recovered them for herself.  Family football Sundays.  Sounds nice.

Ohh yeah and if anyone needs tickets to the gun show...just let me know, they can borrow mine (note the T-shirt in the picture above - “I got your tickets to the gun show”).
